We are a group
of veterinarians from all across the country who train and drill
with an Urban Search and Rescue Task Force. In addition to our official
positions on the team (ranging from canine search specialist to
logistics) we are dedicated to the care, safety, and treatment of
Urban Search and Rescue canines during their drills, certification
tests, and deployments. We have come together as a group to exchange
ideas, update protocols as well as create them, centralize and disseminate
medical information, post topics of interest, answer your questions
and respond to your comments, and coordinate improvements
in the system in a peer-review environment. We believe the best protection comes from superior training and preparation. By uniting in our common
dedication to these magnificent members of our search and rescue
teams, we hope to bring them home as healthy and as fit as when
they go out. |
